What is the coverage for Wearlon® Coatings?

How are Wearlon® coatings applied?

Similar to a house paint, they can be sprayed or rolled

Do Wearlon® Coatings have a high VOC content?

​

No... they're environmentally friendly and release significantly low hazardous fumes

What is the shelf life of the coating when uncatalyzed?

​

Our coatings have a wide range of differing shelf life's. Check the coatings individual shelf life on its TDS

What colors can I buy Wearlon® Coatings in?

​

Most coatings come in black, white, and grays, as well as most colors of the spectrum. A select few come in clear​

What sizes do Wearlon® Coatings come in?

​

Quart, Gallon, 2-Gallon Pail, 5-Gallon Pail, 7-Gallon Pail, 55-Gallon Drum. You can ask for samples as well

What temperature can Wearlon® withstand?

​

It performs best under 200°F, can function up to 280°F, or intermittent heat up to 310°F. Past 310°F, it will fail. 

How do I prevent flash rusting?

​

Use dehumidifiers, apply mistcoat before full application, or use flash rust additive (Shield Rust Inhibitor 104-K)

How do I speed the curing process?

​

Let coating cure for 2 hrs at room temp. Then add heat (120°F for 30 min). Then raise temp to 220°F for 30 min

Does Wearlon® have hazardous shipping restrictions?

​

 No, Wearlon® is not hazardous and has no shipping restrictions/charges.

Are Wearlon® Coatings hazardous?

​

No... they are water-based coatings that ship to most countries with no problem

Do Wearlon® Coatings need heat to cure?

​

No, they cure at room temperature

 

How many components are there in Wearlon® Coatings?

​

2 components. The "A" component (coating) and the "B" component (catalyst)

What is the pot life of Wearlon® Coatings?

​

1 hour after the "A" and "B" components have been mixed

​

What is the lead time of my order?

​

Typically we process and begin producing your order the same day, and is shipped out the next business day

How do I prep a surface to coat Wearlon®?

​

Sandblast or roughen with 150 grit, spray with acetone and wipe. Apply flash rust inhibitor if needed (steel only)

Can we color match a custom color?

​

If you plan to buy often or in large amounts, contact us to send a color swatch or standardized color code to match

How long does curing take?

​

At room temp, curing takes about a week. To speed up cure to 5 days, keep in a dry and warm climate (80-90°F)

How and where is the product shipped?

​

 We ship globally via FedEx and USPS. We can also ship on customer accounts. Contact us for pallet options.

Can I coat over existing coatings?

​

Yes, in most cases with proper prep. If unsure, contact us to discuss your specific application.
